We are all animals, and female animals' bodies are designed to protect their unborn offspring, even at the expense of the mother. Women fall flat on their stomachs late in pregnancy and the odds are the baby is fine.

However, any time you are injured, sick or otherwise concerned about yourself and your baby, you should absolutely see your doctor. No one can put your mind at ease except your doctor with a fetal heartbeat monitor or an ultrasound.

You have too take a really big impact. I spoke with my doctor awhile back and she said a woman can fall directly on her stomach and the baby will be fine. The baby is floated in a sac of water that protects it. That is why baby can survive in the uterus during car accidents etc..

If you get hit hard enough on your stomach while pregnant, then you can lose your baby. It is totally possible and you should go to the doctor and get checked out as soon as possible!

That depends on how hard you were hit. You'd have to be hit pretty hard to actually hurt the baby. Most likely your baby is fine. There are layers of skin, fat, muscle, and the amniotic fluid surrounding the baby which means the baby is well protected in the womb.

no not necessarily but if you think you have been hit hard enough to do any harm to the baby you shouldn't be on here, you need to get yourself to the emergency room.
