nothing... this life is without meaning without the vision of eternity.

One only finds what one is looking for, if one looks for the worst one is sure to find it.
To say that our world is so corrupt....,I disagree. I do not see our world that way at all. Oh sure, we have those things but we have so many good things happening also.
I try to help others where ever I can, I am not waiting for something to come and fix my world someday. My god helps only those who try to help themselves.
Try looking for the good in the world and maybe you'll find that this world is not as bad as you once thought.
My hope is that I can do better tomorrow than I did today. I try to live everyday like it is my last, and I lay my plans as though I shall live forever. The last thing that I would ever hope to be is "reunited with our loved ones who have passed" for that would mean that I will not do better tomorrow.
So you can go ahead and exist until you die but I think I will choose to LIVE in the here and now and enjoy this world, that my god made for me, just as long as I can.

Is the Sun not supposed to rise in the morning and set in the evening? Are flowers supposed to grow in the winter and not in the spring and summer? To my understanding blood has been the roadblock for us, to keep us aware of the severity of sins against our life, and to be the sign of repentance back to perfection or closeness to God. After the death and resurrection of Jesus the sacrifice of lambs was no longer needed as a means to cleanse one from sin. Now you can simple kneel and ask Jesus to cleanse you and bring you to the Father. I like the book "Who moved my Cheese". It explains how some things we have no control over and therefore we either accept and adapt or be left behind in hunger for a solution. Of the many roadblocks God puts before us to keep us in line, blood of the innocent seems to be the most unnecessary and gruesome. I love the phrase, "the Lord is my sheppard I shall not want". It reminds me how this world and all it's pleasantries will fade. So, I would imagine as much pain and disappointment Jesus must have felt in his physical human form on the cross, he also knew that it was something that needed to be done and it would pass. Let me ask you this: would you take a bullet for a loved one? Probably not. Jesus sure did, and it was more than a bullet. I was speaking in general and I'm very pleased to hear you are the type to do such a thing.. but lets say I deserved the bullet.. as we all deserve to pay for our sins.. God gave his Son for this very purpose so that we may have a way out of eternal hell/death into eternal heaven/life. Much I can say to elaborate but again I do love people with your mentality.. just understand what I mean generally speaking.. It's all about choice.. yay or nay.. life or death.. love or hate.. If we choose with a sincere heart to accept what God has given us we will act accordingly. Sorry if I gave you the wrong idea sir. God bless you. And no, I do not care too much how I look to you although it would be nice to think you understood me the first time.

We atheists are nothing like what the church leaders are fond of charicaturing us as. We are freethinking individuals who are able to see the Big Picture without the blinders of religion. We do not live in despair, quite the contrary; freethought is incredibly refreshing, liberating, and empowering.
We are not nihilists, but lovers of life who see it as all the more precious because there's no eternal afterlife. We do not need the bribe of heaven or the threat of hell to be good people, we believe in being good for its own sake.
Through science and reason, we know more about the true nature of the world we live in than your religion could ever hope to offer.
The fear of death is a natural thing, which is why you need to think hard about living your life for the moment. We are not the enemy of christians and other theists. Our quarrel is with irrationality, wishful thinking, superstitions, intellectual dishonesty, and all other forms of thinking that keep mankind mired in darkness, ignorance and hate.
Sometimes i do get depressed over our utter death and annihilation, but it just renews my zest to make the most of this life.

God is the Parent of All Mankind and yet is saddened by the high value His Children place on argument and debate and warfare. The confusion originates with philosophy's failure to determine the existence of God.
But this will change.

that once we leave here on earth, only if you've accepted Jesus Christ as you Lord and Savior you may enter into the kingdom of God. where they will be no more suffering, death, sorrow, crying, pain, etc. don't you look forward to join God and all he has for us. But only if your name if written in the book of life. because he says in his word on the book of Joh. 3:16 for God so loved the world (meaning us) that he gave his only begotten son, that whoso ever believeth on him will NOT persish but, have eternal life.(Heaven)

perfect by nature
icons of self indulgence
just what we all need
more lies about a world that
never was and never will be
have you no shame don't you see me
you know you've got everybody fooled
look here she comes now
bow down and stare in wonder
oh how we love you
no flaws when you're pretending
but now i know she
never was and never will be
you don't know how you've betrayed me
and somehow you've got everybody fooled
without the mask where will you hide
can't find yourself lost in your lie
i know the truth now
i know who you are
and i don't love you anymore
it never was and never will be
you don't know how you've betrayed me
and somehow you've got everybody fooled
it never was and never will be
you're not real and you can't save me
somehow now you're everybody's fool

you seem to rely on god too much. Our world is bad but who made it this way? It is our responsibility to make it right world for all of us. Next time before acting so helpless please think about what you can do to make this world a better place. God bless.
