America has NO genuine allies.

israel is actually America's number 1 enemy - conning America to fight its war, and scamming the US treasury for 3 billion dollars a year. The poodle is its only true friend but not the British people.

The Indians are acting to be friend because it needs something from the US. As soon as India is in some shape, America will be not be given any appointment.

The US could have gotten a very good and loyal friend in China, but with this brain in the White House, that is out of the question.

Conclusion: America has no allies. Reason is Israel. If America takes carte blanche away from israel, every country will worship America again.

Well since WW2 was nearly lost on several occassions in Europe, and the nazis were close to a nuke and already flew a supersonic bomber over NYC to prove they could and return, it was "a close run thing" but Eisenhower covered up all his mistakes after the war (my great uncle spent a night floating in the channel because of one of those), in all liklihood, Great Britain would have had to sue for peace, over Churchill's objection. D-Day (like every other invasion in history) had a lot of glitches that almost spelled disaster if not for the determination of those on the ground. The Battle of The Bulge/Argonne Offensive had been predicted by Patton's G-2 and he briefed the joint command on Dec. 11 and was told to mind his own sector, that's why they had the logistics figured and the men ready to respond when finally asked. Montgomery would not have been able to overcome that situation on his own, especially when all credible reports were of a "phantom" army stationed in hardened bunkers in the mountains which afterwards proved as great a deception as Patton's "ghost army" before D-day. The "allies" were all commonwealths of the UK, all resistance/partisan forcesin nazi-occupied territories, the UK, USA and Russia (although Russia didn't declare war until after the USA dropped two nukes on Japan and Japan tested their own at a facility in North Korea that Russia promptly overan). The European theatre could have been won in 1944, quicker with less loss of life if they had followed through with everything they had rather than try and let everyone have an equal share of the pie. It's possible at any point Britain and the allies might have regrouped and repelled the nazis from the UK, but at a much greater cost in life and property, and much more luck and daring. Germany was not defeated in WW1, it was a mutually agreed truce, that is the point everyone forgot and it lead to WW2. The UK might have been able to win that without USA assistance, especially if not for Lenin and the communist movement in Russia. Who can say how things would have turned out, or how it could be better? One thing is certain, the bonds between the USA and UK are unbreakable despite whatever differences that may arise.

It really annoys me that the Americans think they saved the Brits in WWII. It is equally true that if allies fighting in the Pacific region had not kept the Japenese busy while the US was late to the party (again) then they might all be eating sushi now. I suppose that if they beieve they saved the world, then they own it and that gives them the right to destroy it now. I am British and do not consider the USA allies, because co-operation is a two way street and they never helped stop the fund raising in the USA that supported the IRA. Terrorist in my country that killed people. When the US is attacked we all have to come running to fight the naughty terrorists. What did you do to help our fight against terrorism. Absolutly nothing.

Rockall, that's about it. Other countries may claim to be America's allies, but that's just for economic reasons.

Incidentally, I get annoyed when the yanks claim to have won WW2 for us (Britain). They only joined in when it was nearly over. It was a miracle the British did not lose because of "friendly fire".

Let's see France, Britian, that's it for American allies in WW2.

They're only allies as long as we shell out something they want. Money, bodies. We save their butts and then they bash us. Maybe we should have continued our isolationist policy of the early 20th century. Then the Europeans could all practice their goosestep and the Pacific rim could bow down while the emperor uses their back as a step stool. TRUST NO ONE! They all suck.

I wasn't aware that we still had any allies, Bush did such a fantastic job of alienating them all. I am quite sure that Tony Blair regrets his ties to Bush. Well, maybe we'll gain some allies again in 2008, if Bush hasn't destroyed any chance by then.
