May be he just doesn't know how to tell her, have you told your boyfriend that this bothers you? If so and he still will not talk to her about it don't worry about it give it some time. I wouldn't let it take a toll on your relationship he could be doing worst things than that. Like cheating, or beating you, or a number of other things... So just give him some time....

I realize that this is probably an insult to you, you are living with this man and you feel like a he is not really taking you seriously till he tells his mom.
You must realize that it depends on what type of relationship he has with his mother and what his mother feels about that other woman, don't forget: this is this man's child and his mother grandchild. blood is thicker than water!
now, you must calmly get to the root of the issue, maybe this man is not as serious about you as you would like to think or he feels that he needs more time before you can be introduced to his mother.
Don't get so preoccupied by this, though, because you and this man are together and that is essentially what really counts.
Try and be supportive and not pushy, being difficult regarding delicate issues such as children and your potentially future mother in law will get you nowhere,
Good luck, be good to your man, that is the final clincher!

He probably hasnt told her because he's scared of what she will say, how are her beliefs when it comes to marriage? She may be old fashioned and think that people should only be together if they are married, you should talk to him and ask him to be truthful about the situation with you, but dont be too pushy maybe hes unsure about this also, you two just need to talk it out.

Daddy's little girl is the equivalent of Mommy's little boy. The way a father is protective over his daughter is exactly how a mom is with her son. He is probably scared of her reaction. This is a common thing. She'll find out eventually.

He us embarrassed that his sexual needs overrule his brain. I sure hope the rent is cheap for you, why would anyone want to be gf to a male (obviously he is no man) who has a kid with another woman and does not act like a responsible person and then shacks up with a broad and is embarrassed to tell any one? It is amazing what we girls put up with for a little attention.

He is worried that Mommy Dearest won't approve of you. In other words, he doesn't think you're good enough in her eyes.

You might want to exchange him with a guy who will want to show you off to the world because he's proud of who you are.
