Ok, with this info you will be able to do straddle splits by the end of next year.... have a warm shower everynight, after your shower (while your muscles are still warm), sit with your legs in middles splits as far open as they can go, and lie down as far as you can, aiming to get your stomach and boobs onto the ground. Lie there for as long as you possibly can handle, I used to lie there for about 10 minutes straight. Then after that, lie with your butt up against a wall and split your legs to middle splits, with your hands push your legs down aiming to get them to touch the ground on both sides. If you find it too painful to do this then ask your mom or sister or somebody to push your legs down to touch the ground. Stay in this position for as long as you can bare the pain. Oh and it IS sore, but if you do it 5 times a week for the whole year then I have no doubt that you'll be able to straddle split by 19 December 2007.
Go for it! I dare you!

Get in the straddle position and keep pushing yourself. Eventually you will get there. I have tried every kind of stretch and none have worked like this one. (Don't over do it because you don't want to put too much stress on your muscles. You will be in unneeded pain, OK?
Good luck!

straddle against a wall, laying down. just relax there, read a book, nap, something. if your muscles are relaxed, you'll get farther down.

i suggest you ask your teacher- she/he (if you have a dance teacher etc) will have a better idea on what part you need to work on and where you specifically have problems. good luck!
