I have two PATA/IDE hard drives installed, and i can't get my SATA hard drive to run just as aslave or even get my computer to recongnize it!! (Doesnt show up in my computer) but shows up as a removable drive on task bar.

Sorry, but you can't set the drive as a slave, at all. With the new Serial ATA tech, they did away with the jumper settings, every SATA drive is now a "master" drive in a sense, you can't set it to slave. It does sound like you need to partition your drive using fdisk (or some similar program though).
