Yes... everything you eat goes to the baby. Be careful.

In general, No. There are many cultures who regularly eat spicy foods and strong-flavored foods, and there is no evidence that a greater percentage of these babies are fussy, gassy, or have other problems with the foods their moms eat. We do know that some strong flavors, like garlic, can pass into the milk but it does not seem to cause problems. In fact, one study showed that babies nursed better after mom ate garlic.

I was told yes.
But when I ate spicy food, my son didn't react. So I keep eating them, and he ate just fine.

I think the spice can change the taste of your breastmilk, but I have eaten spicy food since I was really young, I didn't stop when I was pregnant, so i guess my son is used to it.

Even in the cultures with a lot of spicy food (like mine), it is advised that pregnant and breastfeeding mothers limit their spicy food.

Most people think there are certain foods you should stay away from while breastfeeding but the truth is you can eat anything you want as long as it's in moderation.

Eating spicy foods won't affect your baby as long as you don't eat them in excessive amounts.
