many factors can influence this...your health, age, genetics, etc..some people never get regular periods. I would suggest you just start keeping track of them each month and try and determine any pattern that forms.

Anywhere from a month to never:) Probably within a year or so of your first menstrual period, you will be able to see a regular cycle. It's a good idea to make a note on the calendar of when your periods start, so that you can develop an idea when your period will start next and be prepared. It probably *won't* be exactly 28 days on the nose every time... your body is not a calendar.

A fair number of women never have completely regular cycles... it doesn't mean that anything is wrong with them, it's just the way their body works. The birth control pill is a help in these situations.

I never knew. Mine were always irregular from when I started at 11 or 12. I started taking birth controll pills at 17 to make my periods regular.

for me it didn't take that long because I was pretty normal with my eating, exercising, sleeping habits. A lot of my friends had issues with their periods not being normal because they always played sports, had eating issues, or something like that so just make sure you are healthy but not obsessive and it shouldn't be too long. Write it down on your calendar and you can begin to predict it a little. Also if you take birth control it will definitely be regular but you are probably too young for that so just for future reference.

it can take 2-3 years or up to 30...
some womens periods never regulate...
it may be odd but you can ask your mom about hers, the symptoms you get with you period will most likely be the same as hers.

Starting after my first period, they were regular. I've never had an irregular period, and I've had it for 5 years now. It just depends.

just log your periods on your calendar every month and mark each day you were on it....
your period can and will get off track without notice for the rest of your menstrating years....the best thing to do is pay close attention to your body and just use your calendar

it might take a verrrrrrrrrrrrrry long time, unfortunately. my periods were FAR from regular until i started taking birth control pills, and they're still a day or so off sometimes.
