is the tracking number when you send something the same as the label number on the reciept?

i sent a package to somebody in africa for an ebay sale. i cant get my money until i send a tracking number.. i put the label number in the email that i sent to paypal so i can get the money on my account. is the label or registration no. the same thing as the tracking no.

Why would you send a package to Africa BEFORE you receive the payment? That's the fastest way to be duped. How can you be sure that the customer will actually send you money now that you have sent the item? Sending an item before receiving payment is the #1 No-No in selling online, whether on ebay or ecommerce site. You simply don't do it.

If you are in the US and sending the item in Africa through USPS, the USPS is not able to track the package as they have no control over the post office in that continent. You should have sent the item insured.
