How do you depart from loved ones in your life?

Question

I am very involved with everything in my church and that means my youth group to. My youth group leaders are the two most nicest people I know and over the years they have gotten really close to me and I have came apart of their family and they have came apart of my family. They are married by the way. Anyways the husband is going through a battle right now and wants to take a break from the church and it is so hard to watch them go but i know that they have to and that it is the best thing for them to do. How do i deal with watching two people that are like my parents leave? PLEASE no smart answers
