Dear...

From an old wife that had several miscarriages...

A miscarriage runs the same cycle as a full pregnancy. You would probably have a "regular" period after the "40 days". You should still have or have just finished your "leftover" menses. I doubt you'd be pregnant, but the safest thing is to mention this to you Ob-Gyn when you get the next visit, which should be right about now, 5 weeks after a miscarriage/full term pregnancy) or just go next week and get an EPT test.

Good luck

Here is the "official medical" answer

What happens after treatment for the condition?

If a woman has a complete miscarriage without abnormal bleeding, she is sent home to get better. If a woman has a D & C (Dilatation and curettage is a procedure that scrapes out the inside lining of the uterus) for an incomplete miscarriage (In an incomplete miscarriage, part of the fetal tissue stays inside the womb), she is usually able to go home within a few hours. She should rest in bed for 1 to 2 days. A woman should contact her doctor if she has any of these symptoms:

any other new or worsening symptoms
continued heavy bleeding
a fever
cramps that get worse or pain that won't go away

Birth control should be used if the woman does not want to get pregnant again. If a future pregnancy is desired, the couple may try to conceive again after 2 to 3 months. They have an 85% chance of having a successful, full-term pregnancy after 1 year.

The brown discharge may also be natural...You may simply be late or lacking a interval from the stress. It's just right that you are having 'included' sex, but there still is a probability of being pregnant. Take a residence test - or wait and see what occurs subsequent month. Simply on the grounds that you've by no means ignored before, does not imply you wont ever. Your body is at all times altering.

It's better to try to wait for three periods or three months so your uterus can heal a little
