What should I do? My friend wants me to be Dishonest...?

My friend wants me to lie to this job that she is applying for. She wrote up this letter of recommendation for herself and then she wants me to sign it saying that I wrote it. She is telling the person that is gonna be doing the Interview that I am her last boss and that I wrote this letter. Im not a dishonest person at all. She didn't even ask if I would sign it she just said, Come over right now and sign it. I don't know what to say because everytime I ever stand up to her, she gets all pissed off then doesn't talk to me for a year. What should I do? I don't want to play her little dishonest games. Please help!!! Thanks

She is not your friend. You said she didn't even ask you if you would sign it she demanded you come over and sign it. When someone applies for a job and use recommendations they will call you and check with you about her. Being dishonest will only make matters worse. You would have to lie about knowing how she works and what work ethics she has (or doesn't have) You would need to know her hire date and if she was a rehire. And, everytime you stand up to her she doesn't talk to you for a year, I say that is a blessing. Get rid of her and fast. She is a liar and a cheat. That is not what makes good friends.

Don't let yourself be pushed into this. Offer to right a letter of recommendation for her, but tell her that you will not be stating that you are her former employer. If this is a job that is requiring this kind of recommendation, they will probably be doing a background check and they will figure it out. There is no reason for her to lie on her resume. Why are you friends with this girl if she treats you like this?
