With POS you become insulin sensitive, this means you can get some symptoms of diabetes without being diabetic but if you are experiencing such symptoms you MUST get them checked out just in case it is. ( I have just found out I am borderline)If you keep to a high fibre low fat diet this will help. G I diets are one of the best as they keep the insulin levels in check. Unfortunately POS can contribute to weight gain and equally weight gain aggravates the condition, a vicious circle. The GI diet will help the weight to come off, keep the insulin levels in check and so easing the feelings you get with POS.

hi there,

i know everyone Say's it about everything these days but in this case it seems to be true, that if you lose weight women with pcos the symptoms seem to ease and your periods could return to normal, even losing around 10 % of your body weight could help, it seems that the insulin level is higher or something in pcos women that's why it seems to help a low GI diet seems to work best.

you could try metiformin which is supposed to really help in some cases with pcos, and could help weight lose, (as it reduces the insulin level or something)

if your trying to conceive there's a few different options clomid, ovulation drilling if that didn't work, ivf and i think injections.

to ease the hair problem laser treatment is supposed to work best but expensive
