It is covalent bond. cuz, both of the molecules are br and Bromine is an electro negative element. It is short of one valence electron to attain stability or inertness and hence both of the br atoms share electrons together instead of one donating an electron to the other and covalent bond is such an association where usually 2 electro negative elements exhibit covalency that is sharing of valence electrons together instead of one donating elctron to the other cuz, both of the elements are short of electrons.

Purely covalent (sharing two electrons) as the two atoms involved have the same electronegativity.
