I don't think "liking the smell" equates to "wanting to get high". I personally am very fond of the smell of gasoline, and always like filling the car up because of that, but it's not like I carry a jar of high-octane in my purse and take a big snort when life gets too hard.

If you're really snorting it, and actually seeking out sharpies and nail polish, if you like the dizziness and nausea you get from sniffing sharpie, then yeah, you probably are wanting to get high. And wanting to get high in a pretty silly way... there isn't even the dubious glamour of coke or booze in a 10-a-day sharpie habit.

Well there must be something wrong wiht you because neither have very pleasing tastes. But some people even if they don't like the smell continue to sniff these- this is because they have an addiction and they probably haven't realized it. if this is you, and this is a serious problem, i would talk to someone about it.

I love the smell of sharpies, but I don't really "intentionially" sniff them or anything... I wouldn't really go ovrboard with it or anything--it isn't really good for you, you know?
