I wish I had a wife to get into arguments with. But I can't see how anyone could like a "My way or the highway" attitude. Great question!

I pretty much run the house and he does what I say, but it would be nice for him to stand up and be a part of the relationship for once. He just walks away and watches tv which gets extremely frustrating. I don't know his views on things. If he doesn't like something he just sits there and lets it happen anyway.

No i dont like it and if he did "lay down the law" i would give him a swift kick up the behind. Im not a dog who can sit, rollover and play dead.

Decisions have to be made together - not made for you.

I would never do it to him - so i expect the same in return.

He does that anyway, just not in such an abrupt manner. I don't want to wear the pants in the family, and I told him so when I met him. He consults me, of course, but I rather like being taken care of. I don't find it abusive at all, and he certainly never hits me.

I woildn't know. My husband married a partner, not a child or an underling, so he doesn't say things like this. We discuss things and come to agreements that we both can live with. And that I like.

Absolutely not. My husband wouldn't dream of treating me like that. That's abuse pure and simple. Any man that treats his wife that way shouldn't have a wife!

Hahahahahaha NO. If a man I married ever tried to pull that on me, it would be time to get out the black-eyed-peas cuz *sings* Earl Had To Die!

Yes, it's biblical. The husband is to be the rule of the home and the wife. That does not mean he is rude or mean or has to have his way. There can only be one head. Two heads make a monster.
It's also relief......I can blame everything on him.
