like... if it was totally empty, then I run the car for 30 mins so the battery gets some charge... how many times can I consecutively start the engine with that charge? (without runing the car any between them)

the car is a 4 cilinders Caribe 86 and the battery is new but got emptied by the lights.

I want to know so I can be sure that my car will start the engine the next time I want to use it

Well.....since alternators aren't designed to charge batteries, I'd have to guess, you'll get about 7 seconds of cranking time before the battery is dead again.

Plus, the battery will probably loose it initial charge in a few hours anyway.
If a battery lost ALL of it's charge, it will take overnight on a battery charger to bring it back to normal.

The alternator doesn't charge the battery?
What do you think charges the battery? The battery charger fairy?
If you want to be sure the car starts, quit screwing around and charge the battery all the way. It ruins them to stay low all the time.
