I don't get uh... "bing." Sorry, I don't know how else to work that. I mean I see cellphones with pasted on fake gems and such and I've always wondered why is that popular? I have several friends of all sorts on my myspace and there are always some people, girls mostly, that post cartoon characters "blinged" out with some animated gif of the character decked out in glitter and such.
I dunno... I just think it looks really ugly. Well, tacky actually. Is this a new sort of fad? I must've been living under a rock. Am I the only one that thinks it looks really tacky?
I mean I went to go buy some batteries at the drug store and at the checkout line there were sets of 50 cent paste it on yourself "bling" packets for cellphones. I mean, it doesn't get any more tacky than that.
Maybe I'm just getting old. Could someone explain this fad to me? Am I the only one that thinks it looks really ugly?

Hmm, so it's over. But STILL people, well girls, post those horrible GIFs on my myspace that ruin the wonderful design I made with my super coding skills. That gets annoying after a while, heh.

I totally agree with you. I think if you overdo the whole bling thing, the results will be just plain garish. I see teenagers walking around with all these tacky fake gems glued to their phones and I just feel like shaking them and asking them, "Do you honestly think that's cool??!!" However, if you use "bling" sparingly, such as one or two tasteful pieces or jewelery, a tiny letter on your phone, or a cool eye catching phone chain it can be classy. Like they say, "Too much of a good thing is... not ...so...good." (or something of that sort)

It sounds good at first, but take a look at it for real. If you cant settle down and be comfortable with someone then you don`t have a chance of staying together. Love is not only sex, it involves the day to day living together, having children,paying bills, having bad times as well as good times. Romance is sweet,but even Don Juan had a hard time keeping it up.

lol.. This is a new trend mostly because when you watch music videos from BET or MTV, you'll see candy painted cars, people with ten pounds or jewerly on them. So ya, this is a new trend. Rumors has it that some people are going to candy paint phones now unless it already happened..

i dont know. young girls think its cute because alot of the girls in my class do it and i think its ugly and i heard it messes up youre phone? this 'bling' fad will go away soon though? it did like 3 years ago and came back

It's just a fad..its not good for your cell cuz of the adhesive used either.A lot of girls wanted to be different,gut then they all went out and did it,so its dead now.

i agree completely, i hate glitter and rinestones, its not cute and its not hot its just plain corny, if your 8 or so its cool but if ur 13 ur pushing it.
