When people pray and stick notes in the cracks do these notes stay there until nature takes its course or do someone removed them after so long and if so, what is done with them then?

I think there looking for God in the wrong place ,To me there flowing the crowd , Maybe just maybe If thy would pray to God there prayers might be answer I don't know any wall that answered any thing
