He was a child prodigy who wrote his first symphony at age 8, then grew into a prolific adult who wrote over 600 pieces of music. Among his most famous works are Eine kleine Nachtmusik (A Little Night Music, 1787) and the operas Don Giovanni (1787) and Die Zauberflote (The Magic Flute, 1791).

By the age of three he was playing the clavichord, and at four he began writing short compositions. Young Wolfgang gave his first public performance at the age of five at Salzburg University, and in January, 1762, he performed on harpsichord for the Elector of Bavaria. There are many astonishing accounts of the young Mozart's precocity and genius. At the age of seven, for instance, he picked up a violin at a musical gathering and sight-read the second part of a work with complete accuracy, despite his never having had a violin lesson.

Perhaps the classical composer most quoted in film soundtracks, Mozart's music has appeared in approximately 310 feature films. Many of this Austrian composer's operas have received full film and television productions.

600 works include 41 symphonies, 27 piano concertos, 16 operas, 19 piano sonatas, and other orchestral and chamber works.

I agree with some of the others, why do you take pride in what others have done just because of their gender? The Ancient Egyptians have done a whole lot and have many accomplishments.. But you don't see me whining when people don't give ME credit for what ancient Egyptians have done.
