I'm not trying to be mean or funny, but everytime I go to the dmv, they are so rude and mean! Now I myself am a nurse and I deal with people everyday, but I'm not rude to them! I just don't get it!

The work at the DMV because they like cars. When they are working, they aren't driving their cars. Therefore, when they are working, they are not happy. Therefore, they are rude. But why are they rude? It is a great question really. It is almost like there is a culture of rudeness at the DMV.

I must say I've found some very fine people at the DMV, without a question, helpful and thoughtful. But I've also found a higher incidence of rude workers there than most places. It is a great question. I think perhaps the rude ones really have no pride in themselves and their work. They reflect their unhappiness by being rude.

Just be glad you don't have to go there daily!

They deal with anyone and everyone! Unfortunely, the ones that have common sense know to do their business by mail. As for the other idiots, there is no limit on how poor or rude someone can be. Most people wait til the last minute to take care of things, and the last thing they need is to run into a problem. So guess who they vent their problems on? The people at the DMV. Look around at the people there, would you want to deal with some of them? I know it's not nice to judge, but you wouldn't say that if you were working there.

They must think they are in control. They are, aren't they? They can make you suffer for a while and they luv that but they're still required to be courteous. Next time, note the person's name and ID# if any and report to the DMV's boss. To avoid being in contact with these rude people, try to go online to do whatever you need to do at the DMV or have it done at AAA.

You and me both, last time we were at the DMV we were treated very rudely by a Flippino man who just seemed like he'd rather be somewhere else.
The time before that we were told we were wrong by some lazy Armenian lady (turns out....she was the one who was very mistaken).
They figure they work for the state...so they can be rude and get away with it.

I reckon that being a paper-pushing bureaucrat can desensitize people to the point where they automatically turn into the biggest jerks on Earth.
