Planned Parenthood is a great resource. By going through the aboption process you may be able to meet the people who will raise your precious child. By abandoning the child at the hospital the baby will be placed in foster care until an adoptive family is found. Also, most states have a Safe Surrender where you can leave your baby. A hospital and fire station a few places.

GOOD FOR YOU for wanting to give up your baby for adoption! If you know you are not ready to raise a child, this is the most unselfish thing you can do. There are so many loving homes available out there who can give your baby the home he or she deserves.

You should arrange for the adoption before you deliver, so things go much smoother and someone is ready for your baby when you give birth. Ask your doctor or perhaps someone at your school who you can call about this. You could also call the hospital where you plan to give birth or call Planned Parenthood and ask them how to go about adoption.

If you have really put some thought into giving up your baby, you need to contact someone at an adoption agency. You should be able to find something in your local yellow pages. Remember you can only do this if you are of age.

I worked at a crisis pregnancy center- for a few years-- it would be good to get the details worked out before- I don't know where you live but you can call 1-505-885-0848 leave name and number if they don't answer= there are couples that would love to have a baby that can't. D

Your best bet would be to contact an adoption agency ahead of time. Find one that you feel comfortable with and that is liscensed in your state. The heath department may be able to point you in the right direction. They will be able to fill you in on details that you may want to know ahead of time. I hope that you find great parents for your child.
