My mother in law put mothballs in with the ski gear and....yeah....it stinks pretty bad. Anyone know how to get it out?

Airing the clothes outside and spraying with Febreze is good

First of all, get it outside to airdry, but not in the sun or heat of the day. In the early morning and later in the evening.

You can also dry it in the dryer on air only, no heat or it will shrink and add a dryer sheet.

Also sprinkle some baking soda on it, let that set a day or more and either vacuum or shake it out.

Time will be your best bet.

soak some cotton balls in vanilla extract, place the ski gear and cotton balls in a sealed bag, let sit for a day or 2. Vanilla is a natural odor absorber.
good luck!

I have never smelled moth balls. I'm puzzled how you got their legs spread. LOL
