Yes, when my sister-in-law died it changed my whole family. I am slowly loosing contact with my brother and trying not to with my nieces. My sister-in-laws sister and I have become much closer as friends, and we've been spending as much time as we can with our nieces before my brother moves them over a thousand miles away from the rest of their family.

It will rip us all apart, but we're trying to get as much time with them as possible before they all leave.

Yes many times. Life is after all a series of random occurrences. The trick is taking advantage of those occurrences when they occur. I met my partner by chance nearly ten years ago and we are very happy together. He changed my life.

Most certainly.

9/11 was the event - with a very indirect effect on me, because of its effect on the corporate world. My spouse's division was shut down, making it so that I had to leave my job as well and relocate. Because of this, I've discovered a whole new world in education and history, and started a whole new career path, and eventually lifestyle for us .

Oh yes, a chance mess up by someone else, a couple personal decisions that seemed negative at the time, and it lead to having more financial comfort than I had ever dreamed of!
