i'm sorry, i read the question wrong the first time i answered it. you aren't even talking about people's profile's that are private, you're talking about when they use code to hide things like their friend lists, comment box, contact box, etc..
--------
write down the person's friend ID number - it's found in the address bar when you're on their page
go to a friend's page where their friend list is NOT hidden
look at their friends
go to the address bar and change the friend ID to the person's that you are trying to look at

Phishing passwords is illegal. The only way to legally view someones friends list if they are hidden is to friend the person. Or ask nicely.

You can't, that is why they are hidden. You have to send them email asking to be their friend and get on their friends list to do this. If they do not want you to be their friend, they will not respond. this is called privacy, which is good.
