My personal favorite is the Simpsons, but I can't say that it is better than Family Guy. There is just more history with the Simpsons and there are just so many great quotes and characters. I also like King of the Hill, it's always good for a laugh. I'm not a fan of American Dad I've tried a few times to watch it but it just doesn't do it for me.

Family guy all the way. The simpsons if you are 15 and the year is 1997. King of the Hill came and gone but it gave a few laughs and American Dad is good but it doesn't quench the thirst every time like Family Guy does.
Don't watch TV with the lights off!

King of the Hill b/c it is most like a regyular Sitcom. Never saw Amer, Dad and only pieces of Family Guy. Simpsons is hipper, more edgy than KOTH but I still prefer KOTH. Fave character is Boomhauer.

Family Guy hands down. Sure the simpsons has the longest history, help start the adult cartoon revolution, but as any good genius does they take upon their first and improve. Family Guy is the king for now. Here is the crown. /\/+\/\
