I can't figure it out. I use the Mcafee to find a virus and it still does this weird thing. It found two and I got rid of them but the problem persists. It will place lines and make weird noises in my email program until I hit enter on my keyboard? Anyone?
Thanks

get mcafee up todate and do a full scan in safe mode (press f8 when you reboot)
if it finds anything it didnt delete/fix look at mcafee site for it and see if theres a removal tool

Is this happening everytime you reboot your computer? If so, try unpluging the keyboard, plugging it back in, and rebooting again. If that doesn't work, if you have a spare keyboard, I suggest trying that and seeing if you have the same problem.

If it doesn't happen everytime your reboot or a spare keyboard works then it sounds like you have a sticky enter key on your keyboard since it makes lines until you hit it. I'm not too familiar with opening keyboards and repairing them so I can't help with that. Of course you could always just get a new keyboard.

Your enter key may be sticking. Take a paper towel, spray it with some windex and then use it to clean around all the enter keys (don't forget the one on the number keypad).
