A mechanic told me that the crank bearing went out. He said it's better just to get a rebuilt or new engine. I live in Long Beach Ca so if you know of a good mechanic that needs work and can get the V6 engine at a good price please let me know. Thank you :O)

Easy to do. Go to http://www.car-part.com and you can find them all over the U.S. It searches all the major salvage yards and gives prices and numbers "toll free" to call for info and shipping, etc. Can get engine shipped to either yourself, or your mechanic shop. So that they think you are up on the "lingo" of salvage business ask them how much the price is for it "Laid" to your address. This is a code word for shipping to your door. i.e. being "laid" on your doorstep. That way you get the full price and no surprises on shipping. A good used engine is the way to go as that vehicle should still have enough resale value to make it worthwhile to fix and drive for some more years.

Do you want cheap or rebuilt? You could probably get a used engine dropped in for $1500, but you wouldn't know how good it was. Best to spend an extra grand for a Jasper rebuild with a good warranty.

Best to shop around the local autoparts stores, or engine shops.
