it's not rosacea, just some flushing on cheeks and redish complexion around nose. also i heard that a toner to gradually darken skin is good (not tanning lotion, but something light). any one know of a good product for either, or maybe one that does both???

Is it always red? Is it from sunlight, from blushing from embarrassment or stress? Or do you just have pink-toned skin? I would not use the tanning lotion on your face -- which is what it sounds like you're talking about. A toner is like a liquid you wipe on a clean face to moisturize, clean, sooth, etc. You probably need to just soothe your skin. Be gentle with it. Use a sunscreen, don't overdry it (even if you have acne), and stay away from harsh products that contain alcohol, benzoyl peroxide, or alpha hydroxy acid. If it's very problematic, go see a dermatologist because you might have a condition or an allergy. You might want to try a Mineral powder foundation. It doesn't feel like you have anything on and it looks the most natural. I use Arbonne's. It's pure and about half the price of Bare Minerals brand. You can shop online at http://www.arbonne.com (you'll need a consultant ID, mine's 16459642)
Arbonne also has a WONDERFUL men's skin care line. It's called NutrimenC Re9. I can mail you a free sample of it if you're interested in trying it. It's designed especially with men in mind and how things like shaving, testosterone, and exposure effect men's skin.
