Irritation of the urethra,sight fever,agitation.Usually Doctors recommend no caffeine no smoking pot and to drinking lots of water while on a antibiotics regime.

Just ask the doctor to remove his wrist watch for the prostate exam. A doctor can feel the prostate through the colon in a rectal exam.
Symptoms are problems in urination. No pressure, Can get a steady stream... Can completely empty the bladder. Multiple trips to the bathroom during the night

I understand that the examiner inserts a finger into the anus. Not pleasant!
A swollen prostate can cause urine retention as it obstructs the urethra, and therefore urine flow. I read a while ago that it is also painful.
