do you think rap videos(and some rock) degrade women?

and the women in those videos are worse than the people that hired them.what kind of message are these videos sending out young girls?the video ho's are not unique to rap and rock videos.but that where the majority of them are at.im so tired of every time i turn on MTV all i see is a woman shaking here butt in front of the screen.and the rapper/singer being surrounded by women in thongs

They have no idea what it's doing to us youth. The friends I had some of them thought sex was cool and wearing booty shorts were cool, and now have babies. It's teaching young girls to be sexual and stupid and wearing things they shouldn't be wearing at that age, also it makes them want to grow up to fast.

Absolutely. Mass media, which includes the television programs and music that you speak of, has taken a wrong turn and is heading down a very dangerous road. Sex has become the biggest market these days, and mass media moguls are definitely taking advantage of it. How do they do it? They do it by first tapping into the emotions and desires of young america and then seeking out clueless individuals (i.e. rappers, TV entertainment correspondents, "video divas" etc.) to reel them in. The message they are sending: "we want to make money and we don't care what negative effects our products and/or programs will have on anyone, anywhere, at anytime!"

YES rap and rock songs degrade women. They show us to be tramps. That is what they do like in the song CANDY SHOP by 50 cent, it is about doing it with women.

in some ways they do, but i guess that they feel, that they need to get the guys attention.. Also they feel its fun and kool... idk think itz horrible.. but itz not great either
