Attach a safety pin to one end of the drawstring and stick it in one of the holes. Then kind of wiggle and work the pin around to the other whole through the waistband. That's how you get it in in the first place too.

Attach a safety pin to one end of the string. Make sure that the other end is knotted larger than the opening in the pants. Start feeding the safety pin end in to the waistband of the pants all the way around until it comes out the other end. Remove safety pin and knot that end larger than the opening in the pants.

If the string is already in the pants but one end has gotten lost in the band, feel around the waistband until you find it, then you'll just have to slowly work it back out to the opening.

A safety pin. More specifically, pin it to one end of the drawstring, insert the pin into one of the holes, then use the pin to guide it through the waistband, and out the other end. Viola!

Attach a safety pin to one end, then feed it into one side of the pants, and little by little push it through from the outside, always holding onto the paper clip. Scrunch the material over the safety pin while pushing the safety pin forward. Repeat until its done. I hope you understand what im saying. Its tedious, but it does work.

attach the drawstring to a safety pin and use that to feed it back through. It's a pain, but can be done!

Get a large paperclip. Tie one end of the string to it and "scrunch" it through the opening of the pants til it reaches the other side.

use a safety pin. Hook one end of the string on the safety pin then weave it through the hole, takes time, moving fabric as you get closer to the other end.

Uncoil an old wire hanger and tie one end to the string. Feed hanger through. If you only have plastic hangars (like me) you could get one from a dry cleaners. I have some shorts that need fixing!
