Whenever I hear this song, it doesn't sound like her. Maybe she sings another version that I haven't heard.

Cynthia Basinet recorded the version that is often mistaken for Marilyn Monroe. Monroe never recorded this song. Eartha Kitt did the original recording and Madonna also has a version.

Eartha Kitt did the original. Madonna re-made it for the "A Very Special Christmas" series of albums. She did a video for it that was very much Marilyn inspired though, so maybe that's why.

Yes, Marilyn Monroe did record Santa Baby. She may not have been first but, she recorded it.

no,its sung by eartha kitt,but in a similar "baby doll"style that was popular in the 50's and 60's.its an old song,but still really good.
