Here's some advice at the mayo clinic site and also a wikipedia page on self-harm which explains the pschology behind it and has links to help organisations.
Its a complex problem that you can't sort out on your own. She most probably needs professional counseling. You need to tell her parents or another trusted adult.

That's a good question because my friend does the same thing to herself, I didn't do or say anything she got help but she's also 23 so it was nothing I could do, but if you're under 18 maybe you should talk to her and tell her if she does it again and you find out about it then you're going to tell her mother.

Tell her that you're worried about her, and that she can come to you to talk whenever she has a problem. You should also let her parents know, so they can get her help and/or keep an eye on her. She might not appreciate it at first, and you might not be as good friends as you would have been before you told her parents, but SHE'LL BE ALIVE, and that's what counts. :D

If your a real friend I would tell her parents right away because one day it can be too late and you will always have it in your head that you could of done something to save her life... But you decide to keep it from the people who love her the most...

Tell her to stop, if she doesnt take your advice, tell her parents and everything would be solved. If shes mad at you for telling her parents then shes not a true friend. You would probably care for her so much that you would want to tell someone right?

you need to tell her that she should really stop hurting herself and that it really scares you because you want her to stop it. ask her why shes cutting herself. is she depressed? is she mad? most people cut themselves because they are depressed or really sad. you need to talk to her about it and tell her how you feel. if she still doesnt stop or just doesnt pay attention you need to notify her parents.
if your friend gets mad that you told her parents then you should tell her that you did it because you care about her and you don't want her hurting herself.
i hope this helps and good luck to you and your friend!
