Actually I have read a whole book about it. It suggests that the soul models the body to its similarity.
According to the books there are big differences between personality of a woman with large breasts and small hips and another with large hips and small breasts. Some parts of the body indicate power, others, the past, etc.
On another hand... there is a science which studies personality through facial features. Thick eyebrows meaning strong will power, etc.

A " soul " is purported to be immaterial, so how could you see it physically. The person above that said the body weight varies at the time of death is just promoting an old urban legend, that has no validity. There is not a scintilla of evidence for a " soul ".

Some people believe that others give off auras or colors I don't personally believe that but I Think that you get an instinctual feeling about a person and of course getting to know someone is the only true way to know their character which is a reflection of their soul.

Some people argue that souls have weight. I have a relative who works in the ICU of a major hospital, and often when they weigh a person directly after death (certain beds have scales) they find that the patient has suddenly lost a small, but noticable, amount of weight.

It's also a mainstream belief that some spirits without bodies can be seen in orbs of light when captured by photography.

Originally, and for thousands of years, the subject of psychology involved the study of the human spirit, soul or mind. This involves things and functions not obviously visible to the physical senses. You can't see a mind with one's eyes. You can't feel a thought with one's hands. You can't place an emotion on a scale and weigh it. You can't detect imagination, even with sophisticated electronic detection devices.
