I have been 100% happier with Smiles brand diapers then any others I've ever tried. They are an off-brand sold at Sams Club, but I'm not sure if they carry them everywhere. I've had problems with Huggies and Pampers leaking and causing irritation, and they cost so much more. I've also tried Luvs and wasn't too impressed. Mostly it's just important to choose something and stick with it, because you will get used to it and so will your baby and their skin.

I used cloth diapers with rubber/plastic pants for my first 2 kids... they worked just fine, but there is the whole rinsing/washing/folding thing... but the cost is so minimal compared to the disposable.
with the 3rd child, we used mostly disposable as we could afford them at that point. in order to know what brand to use, we collected coupons and tried different ones until we found one that adjusted to his body type best.... but most of the time either bought huggies or luvs. None of them irritated my kids, but they were changed often enough so that they didnt get rashes.

my favorites were Pampers (they are soft and have a good baby smell), Parents Choice (walmart brand) They are GREAT work well really soft and not expensive like brand names. Also white cloud are really good.
DO NOT USE LUVS!! i dunno why my daughter doesnt have skin allergies but that brand would make her break out so bad...she was screaming in pain..and then it happened with that same brand to my friends son...they use something weird in their diapers that irritates...
also i wouldn't use drypers..they leak..and they have these little balloon pictures onthem that "disappear" if they get wet i guess to let you know when to change your baby but the color disappears right on to babies bottom and you end up with a balloon tattooed butt....and they leak everywhere....not a good buy!
hope this helps

Luvs.My daughter used to use White Cloud all the time sence she was born but she kept breaking out so when she was about 6 months old we switched to Luvs and she no longer breaks out.I tried Pampers and Huggies but do not like the way they fit on her.

With my oldest child I used what ever but loved Pampers they smell like baby powder. With my youngest she got blisters on her little tush with every diaper I used! My doctor told me to go to cloth. Within a week they were gone. I love little lams All in one diapers.

Pampers Baby Dry worked well for my infant son. But try other brands also as what may work for one person will be different for another.

Huggies. In my expierence Pampers leaked alot more often, and Huggies didnt as often. Luvs were the worst by far.

I tried the expensive brands with my first but they either irritated her bottom or leaked. I then switched to White Cloud and have stuck with them for my son. They are inexpensive and work great tot

Whatever doesn't leak!!! Brand doesn't mean much, you have to try different ones and find what works for your baby.
