Providing that the two people love each other, then colour shouldn't enter into the equation. They are getting married because they want to be together. So to answer your question yes it is a wonderful idea and its not an idea its reality as lots of multiracial marriages take place every year

Not necessarily "wonderful", as you put it.
There can be "cultural clashes" which can take pretty serious turns if handled without adequate maturity.
Also, during periods of racial tension, multi-racial couples become targets from both sides. Not many are strong enough to withstand this onslaught.
If you're personally contemplating inter-racial marriage, I applaud you heartily. But make sure there is a very strong bond between both of you. You must stay together under odds which can be very heavy at times. And if you do, you will have changed the world in your own small way.
God bless.

Multiracial marriage an "idea"? Like someone one day said, "I've got an idea! Let's start marrying people of different races!" BRILLIANT! Marriage between two people that love each other and desire spending their lives together is a wonderful idea. If they happen to be of different racial backgrounds then so be it, but it isn't a good "idea" as a cultural experiment.

Step away from the crack pipe.

I am in a wonderful multiracial relationship. Not that I would call it that. We are engaged and I have a 16 month old son. W

What difference does skin colour make. A person is a person. When you fall in love it is for attraction and a personality and compatability. As long as you love him or her there shouldn't be an issue

Yes it is a wonderful thing. At the end of the day it comes down to the two individuals. If they're able to gel with one another, have common interests in life, then they should be able to compromise as the relationship grows. We learn something new everyday.

What is wrong with multiracial marriage? I dont see anything wrong with it. I didnt grow up racist. My husbands father was white his mother was filipina. So that means he is half white half filipino and im hispanic. The marriage has lasted and is going great. We have our arguments like any other couple. Its never a race issue.

I don't know, being Catdog seems to have its issues.
One wants to go the other way while the other one wants to chase its tail? What's for dinner, Dog Chow, Mice or both?
Kittens, puppies or kitpups? To Scratch or to Lick?
Too many questions?

It does make for a stronger mixed race than either of the pure races that created it - but is it a "wonderful" idea? I don't know. It's not a bad idea...

why should it be such a wonderful idea ? surely the most wonderful thing is that two people want to express their love by getting married........ race/ culture / relegion shouldn't be such a huge factor in all of this
