I know very well how to remove programs using the "Add or Remove" feature in the Control Panel. Unfortunately, the only McAfee program that shows up there is the McAfee Security Center and it cannot be removed unless "...you unistall all other McAfee programs first" NO OTHER MCAFEE PROGRAMS SHOW UP UNDER THE "ADD OR REMOVE" PROGRAM and I know I shouldn't just delete them in Windows Explorer. I have hated McAfee for a long time because their program seems to take over your computer.

Answer:

If you the CD of McAfee reinstall it.
As soon it is install , turn off the internet connection
to avoid that liveupdate taking control over your PC.

Before you uninstall it , shut down McAfee , if you see the little icon right click and turn off, then go to Uninstall/remove program, If you can't see McAfee it means it might be in the security suite all combined together.

If that does not work try the exacdtly same process but in the safe mode,

Reboot PC and press F8 then you will load on the safe mode.

Good luck,

Joe.
