they are fed microworms bbs and starting to feed fry pellets what do you guys think of size

1/2 in and 3/4 inch?

I have spawned bettas on quite a few occasions, and I think you are off by about 2 weeks on the age of your fry. Bettas are not only small when hatched, they are slow growers. If they are 1/2 inch, they are probably about a month old.

Betta are supposed to be small, so yeah, I'd say that's good.
