Two children, two adults and no more. In this day and age, it is most selfish to have more. The population of the world MUST be reduced to two billion if we are going to be able to live in balance with the Earth with any kind of guaranteed life style above the poverty level. One and no child families should be encouraged.

The ideal family size is what you can afford economically. Alot of people say mom, dad, girl, boy but genetically that is not always possible. Children are a blessing despite what gender they may be. I personally don't have any children but one day would like to have some and if and when I do I will start out with one and progress from there. You are there to provide for children therefore if financially you are struggling to take care of what you already have (even yourself) then why bring an innocent life into this world to struggle and face starvation?

The ideal size is what ever you want it to be! I know people with six kids, they are amazingly happy, yet I have my hands full with one! I know my partner would like another child, he is hoping for a girl, so we have the matching set..Ha ha! I actually would like three children...I have always wanted more, but after going through child birth, I have reconsidered!!! When you look around at your family feeling contented and happy, wishing for nothing more, then that is your ideal sized family!

my opinion is----the ideal family is one in which there is a mother and father and whatever number of children the couple can afford to raise.
my wife and i think our family is ideal----9 children: 5 girls and 4 boys Jerusha, 34; Jeptha, 33; Zachariah, 31; Zebulon, 31; Hannah, 30; Anastasia, 29; Micah, 28; Zephora, 26, and Lucretia, 25.

In my opinion I would say five, three children, mother and father,so if you are planning for an ideal consider two to three kids not more, maybe less. Good luck.

Two kids.
This provides a replacement for each of you, a generally well rounded family, the kids get the opportunity to grow up with a sibling, and will actually result in a slightly negative population growth (unfortunately not everyone grows up and reproduces).

Yep 4 human beings is superb in my eyes. the mothers and fathers, and 2 babies. Then one discern isn't caught with coping with far greater teenagers than the different, once you pass our swimming as a relatives, one discern looks after one youngster. each and everything purely works out greater suited in even numbers :D
