My friends and I all go to different schools, but we still call each other our bestfriends. One friend of mine said that I was set in the role of the 'planner' because I find more exciting activities rather than just the mall. They could just as easily plan stuff, so is this just an excuse? Should I just stick with my new friends from my new school?

The fact that you have friends at another school shows you are a very likable person as well as a very friendly and helpful individual. If you don't want the role of "planner" then why don't you tell your friends that you would rather someone else take more responsibility for finding activities and give you a break since you have friends at your school whom you like and want to do things with. Tell them you have limited time and feel you need to spend more time with the friends at your current school for now because you are in the process of making new friends. If you do this your old friends should understand. If they don't then I don't think they are very good friends to you, do you?

Hey just be like ''I really think that ? has a great idea for this don't you'', if that don't work tell them to bug off in a good cool way I'm sure they would understand.
