Alex B.Ph.D.(who wanted his vote for John Kerry in 2004 to stay a secret between him and me:
"Liberal mindset:
Terrorism and muslim extremism, car bombs, beheadings, 9/11, this must be tolerated, otherwise muslims might be offended."
Ha ha ha,NO,its not at all. What TYPICAL conformist "I'm too scared of conservative criticism to think for myself" rhetoric.
NAME ONE LIBERAL WHO TOLD YOU THAT BS.
NAME ONE
Liberal mindest for real:
Get rid of Bush's disasterous policies that have increased terrorism and lets have some accountability in Iraq for once.
Maybe we CAN create peace in the long run.Wont make money for liberal-bashing reactionaries, but so what?
Just like the voters voted for in November.
And Alex, that you for prooving that consrevative talk is chemically induced, just like the flower children in the 60s left counterpart.

Your comment about "Won't make money for liberal-bashing reactionaries, but so what?" is precisely right on the mark.
I think Bush's real reason to take on Iraq was to let loosen up the purse strings so he could build up the military. Not necessarily a bad idea, but the plan back fired. Taking out Saddam was not much of a problem, BUT, never once did they consider, "What happens next?" That is why they are clueless.

Would this be the appropriate time to wave a US flag from Wallmart and say something like They drew first blood. Why do you Carl Marx lovers hate America.
Or simply say it looks that way to me also.
I especially feel sorry for the Farmers say Kansas & Nebraska, and the people in Ohio that lost 90% of there manfacturing jobs and still think the ecconomy is good because the DOW big 30 is in a no bid contract heaven.
I just can't understand how if I, an idiot can see problems in the fabric of America why can't those suffering the most see it.
Imagine being a mom with your 18 year old son in Baghdad. You have to believe it is for some higher cause.
In the civil war one million moms lost their son for freedom Is this what the DOW want's from the grandmothers of America another million sons lost for their profit?

By definition, they cannot have such a clue.
As socrates put it, "The wise man knows he knows nothing"
The more someone is sure that they know what's right, the more sure you can be that they don't.
If you talk to someone who is not well informed, generally speaking, they will not admit it.
If you are talking to someone who is really well informed, generally speaking, they will mention when they don't know enough to speak on a matter. Also, they will fill in alternative viewpoints and nuances so that you can better understand the matter.
Some people have the same criticism for Bush. It's his level of certitude that is most irksome.

I'm always amazed when I find out that educated people are conservative. I thought people went to school to learn how to think? Anyway, what he thinks is his business.
I agree with you about the brainwashing rhetoric. It reminds me of a guy named Adolph Hitler. The more you say it the more people will believe it.
Also, dont forget, people are afraid. When they are afraid, they live for the herd mentality. Stay in the middle of the herd and you won't get hurt.
The other problem, besides fear, is people don't want to give up something for the greater good. That's the reason we will never have world peace. People want world peace, but at the expense of others (sweatshops, human rights violations, etc.) If they had to give something up to do that, it wouldnt happen because most people are too selfish. So stupid wars like Iraq will continue.

Since I am pretty much middle of the road, I can say this with all honesty: While I don't always agree with Alex B. PhD, at least I understand his questions.
Since I occasionally do support liberal thought, could I ask you to be more literate in your future questions and not make all other liberals look like morons?

Someone tried to tell me that I was clueless once.
I told them, like, I am so totally sure!
I mean like, bag your face & stuff!
And we haven't had even one terrorist attack in the US since we went to Iraq, so I don't see that terrorism is increasing anywhere.
We caught every terrorist that Iraq was hiding, so that sounds like accountability to me.
I don't consider myself a liberal-bashing reactionary. And I haven't made one dime off this war. What I have gained is some peace of mind; knowing that air travel here is as safe as it can possibly be, the government is doing everything possible to find, detain and bring to justice those in this country who still seek to harm US citizens, and that except for one or two individuals, those who supported and helped to plan the attack on the WTC have been brought to justice.

Jim, unlike liberals, republicans are more opened minded when making decisions. If Alex did say that, which is very doubtful, then good for him that is his opinion. We don't agree on anything, but I do respect your stance on issues, but that does not mean I support them.

How old are you, anyway? I'm guessing late teens/early 20s....
