a.) exert pressure?
b.) get compressed?
c.) fill their container?

they exert pressure by being compressed
they get compressed by forcing them into small spaces by way of a machine of somesort (aircompressor) They are compressable due to the fact that their particles are spaced further apart than liquid or solid particles
they fill thier containers because they are constantly moving and each particle is free from one another, unlike solid or liquid
they diffuse for that same reason, their particles are spaced further apart and allows air to get between particles faster

a) the are heated up and take up more space in a container and "push" up.

b) A piston pushes down on a cylindrical tube of air.

c)air is simply put in a container and shut

d)the particles are much smaller and hence can diffuse easier
