Am I cheap if I don't want to buy gifts for my brother, three sisters - in law, mom, dad, step dad, step mom, mother in law, father in law, etc? I only want to buy for the children. Am I being grinchy??

No it is not. Christmas has gotten to be too commericalized. It is not about giving gifts but of spending time together with friends and family. I am a single mother of two and had to cut back this year. People really do understand. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas

i am going to work out what you propose yet can't you even get them some thing little? keep in ideas its the concept counts. i have were given 8 nieces and nephews and we've spend about $50-$60 on each and every youngster yet having said that were going to have youngsters quicker or later. Its a convention that we flow to my in-guidelines after Christmas mass and all open our presents for another mutually earlier lunch. What about one present in line with kin like a DVD or board activity?

Not at all. that is the way my family has done for years. Things cost alot of $$ these days........I think your being no where near stingy!!!!!

Absolutely not! With a big family its the easiest thing to do and if the adults don't understand they are just being greedy if you ask me!
