Why don't the knicks trade all their "problem children"?

Actually, because there players cost to much. In the NBA, players contracts have to be within 15% of each other to be able to trade. When Jamal Crawford is making $30 million dollars, it makes it very difficult for teams to want to trade for him, because they have to give up $30 million dollars worth of player(s). No team wants to trade for below average $30 million player. The truth is, that the Knicks are over $120 million dollars over the salary cap, which isn't actually Zeeks fault, because the team was already in the whole when he came. The whole Knicks organization is a joke, but Isiah is only 1\4 of the real problem. The knicks paid Larry Johnson and Allan Houston over $80 million dollars a piece, before Isiah got there. Isiah Thomas might be bad, but that organization is horrible when it comes to player personnel.

The Knicks seem to be the final destination for a lot of problem guys. Steve Francis and Stephon Marbury will probably have to be Knicks until their contracts end. They are both making a lot of money and both have not only been problems for team chemistry but haven't been exceptionally productive. It's tough to trade that combination of big money and big problems. NBA contracts are guaranteed, so there is no way to get out of paying these guys.
