Santa has been portrayed in many different forms, and yes they've all been grandfatherly. This isn't sexist, or "ageist", as you put it, in any way. The legends and stories have always seen Santa as a white haired man. I can't really make a claim about the racism because different races and culture may have slightly different portrayals of good old Father Christmas. But if you want to play the part of Santa, it's best to stick to traditions.

no, Santa Claus cannot be female or non-white.

if someone makes a movie about Malcom X would it make sense to have a 60 year old white woman play the part?

should King Arthur be an overweight black woman?

get over it... it is what it is. Santa is old, white and male!

Well actually, I have seen black, female, and young Santa Klauses. I think it is the employer who decides what the job requirements are, and if they discriminate, I'm pretty sure you can sue them.
