I read somewhere that January is one of the highest job-seeking months in the year. I'd like to know some of the reasons people might be looking for a new job. Thanks!

CHANGE...the reality is if you are doing the same thing for 10 years or more, then you need a change.
Variety is the spice of life.
In my situation, a better opportunity came up with a better package and was more aligned with my overall goals and dreams and I had to take it. It means many changes but I'm looking forward to the challenges ahead.

I have a great job, but my family can't survive on the salary so I feel compelled to start looking.

Unfortunately, I'm not one of them because I do have a very good job.
