Wait until you actually have the cat before you name it. Sometimes you will discover that a cat won't accept the name that you try to give her. My current Siamese cat is named Sapphire. When I first got her, she was called Paris, but she didn't like that name and wouldn't respond to it. After a few days, I called her Sapphire, and she seemed to agree with that name. Siamese are very, very opinionated cats, and they usually talk all the time, unless they are sick. If you've never had a Siamese before, you might be in for a surprise. Siamese are also very sociable, but they usually pick one human as their special person and will act very clingy. If I have to be out of town or in the hospital, Sapphire gets very upset, because I am her person. She loves my husband, but she prefers me. My husband has a small blue grey cat who considers him to be her person, and when he's out of town, she sits by the garage door and howls for her daddy to come home.
