which prepaid phone companys offer free nights and weekends?

I haven't heard of any! And that makes sense because someone (like me) would buy the phone and only use it during the free times. It'd be like a free cell phone!

A better bet would be to do a pay up front program that some places have.

I don't know if Cricket is in your area but they have a flat rate program where you can't get hit by overusage fees.
