The volume of a gallon of water is 231 cubic inches.

Therefore first determine the volume of your fish tank

v=30*12*12

V= 4320 cubic inches of water

divided by 231 cubic inches per gallon

Volume of your fish tank is 18.71 gallons

Don't forget that metrics is different than the English system of weights, and measures. Do not confuse the two in your calculations otherwise you'll be off the mark.

Depends on how hard you work and what you have to dig through. There are places on my ranch that when you reach 2 1/2 feet you hit white clay stuff. It is harder and more durable than concrete when dry. When wet it is sticky and nearly impossible to get of shovels. Digging through this stuff takes days. I hope you husband is not erm indisposed.
